This prestigious label, which imposes rigorous standards of social and environmental performance, transparency and accountability, represents much more than mere recognition for us.<\/p>\n\n<p>It embodies our determination to act as a force for good, and to help build a more inclusive, equitable and regenerative economic system. Today, we are proud to announce that, after a year and a half of hard work, we have received the long-awaited approval.<\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The beginning of a journey towards change<\/h3>\n\n<p>At SquareNuts, we have always been deeply aligned with the mission of the B Corp network: to promote an economy that benefits all stakeholders &#8211; workers, communities, customers, and our planet. In choosing to become a B Corp, we wanted to go beyond good intentions and implement concrete actions to embody this change.<\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Challenges faced and lessons learned:<\/h3>\n\n<p>Achieving B Corp certification was no easy task. It was a great milestone for us.<\/p>\n\n<p>The process, which began in January 2023, presented us with many challenges. We had to rethink and improve our practices on all fronts:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>reducing our energy consumption;<\/li>\n\n<li>using rainwater;<\/li>\n\n<li>implementing employee wellness processes;<\/li>\n\n<li>justifying and optimizing waste sorting;<\/li>\n\n<li>introducing performance assessment and career development tools;<\/li>\n\n<li>and much more &#8230;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>Each challenge required genuine teamwork, urge us to push our limits and adopt sustainable, responsible practices.<\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A holistic approach to making a positive impact<\/h3>\n\n<p>Being B Corp certified is not just about minimizing our environmental footprint\u2014it&#8217;s a holistic approach to making a positive impact across various aspects of society. As a B Corp, we are committed to upholding rigorous standards of social responsibility.<\/p>\n\n<p>This means that beyond environmental sustainability (<a href=\"http:\/\/squarenuts.lu\/sustainability\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"http:\/\/squarenuts.lu\/sustainability\/\">read more about our actions here<\/a>), we also prioritize the well-being of our employees, foster diversity and inclusion, and actively contribute to the communities in which we operate. Our certification reflects our dedication to creating a balanced, positive impact by ensuring fair wages, promoting equitable opportunities, and supporting initiatives that strengthen both our workforce and the wider society.<\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Certification: an ongoing commitment<\/h3>\n\n<p>Becoming a B Corp is not an end in itself, but rather the beginning of a long-term commitment. Certified for a minimum period of three years, we must now provide regular reports and continue to improve to maintain this certification. This gives us even more motivation to move forward.<\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A message to companies wishing to become a B Corp<\/h3>\n\n<p>We strongly encourage all companies to consider becoming a B Corp. The requirements are high, but they allow you to set ambitious goals and align yourself on a trajectory of positive change. Work as part of a team, get organised, exchange ideas with your colleagues, and implement tools for evaluation and continuous improvement. The journey is demanding, but the results are worth it, both for the company and for society.<\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Conclusion<\/h3>\n\n<p>At SquareNuts, becoming a B Corp is more than a label, it&#8217;s proof of our commitment to acting responsibly, continuing to evolve, and inspiring other companies to do the same.
